John Patrick Norman McHennessy: The Boy Who Was Always Late

Every day John Patrick Norman McHennessy “sets off on the road to learn” but he is delayed.

Not because he left something behind or he missed the bus, no, because he comes across the wildest of situations. A crocodile jumps up from the drain, a tidal wave washes him clean off the bridge! How could all these things happen to one boy! The more they happen the more in trouble he gets in. But one day it all changes.  Unfortunately, his school teacher doesn’t believe him and punishes him by making him write lines for telling lies.  I’m sure many children will particularly enjoy, and laugh out loud at, the end of the story when the teacher finally gets his comeuppance!

每天約翰·帕特里克·諾曼·麥肯尼斯“開始學習”，但他遲到了。不是因為他忘了什麼東西或他錯過了公共汽車，不，因為他遇到了最瘋狂的情況。一條鱷魚從排水管中跳了起來，一股潮汐把他從橋上沖走！怎麼可能這一切都發生在一個男孩身上！他們發生的越多，他遇到的麻煩越多。但總有一天它會發生變化。不幸的是，他的學校老師不相信他，並透過讓他寫下謊言來懲罰他。

我敢肯定，當老師終於得到他的報應時，許多孩子會特別喜歡並大聲笑出來。

Friends

Charlie Rooster, Johnny Mouse, and Percy the pig are the best of friends. They do everything together. They ride their bike together, play games together, and even do their chores together. Because that's what good friends do. When night falls, though, and it's time to go to bed, they learn that sometimes friends have to be apart. But that's okay, because true friends always find each other, even if it's just in their dreams. 

Charlie Rooster，Johnny Mouse 和 Percy the pig 是最好的朋友。他們一起做所有事情。他們一起騎自行車，一起玩遊戲，甚至一起做家務。因為那是好朋友所做的。然而，當夜幕降臨，是時候上床睡覺了，他們知道有時朋友必須分開。但這沒關係，因為真正的朋友總能找到對方，即使這只是在他們的夢中。

"Friends" is a charming book that recounts the day of a rooster, mouse, and pig. They work together to use an old boat and sail to a great cherry tree where they all share the cherries. Then, the bicycle around. When nighttime comes they decide it's best to sleep in their own beds, however, true friends always dream of each other.

"Friends" by Helme Heine is a delightful little book that illustrates the true meaning of friendship through detailed illustrations laced with bright colors and movement, as well as a great storyline. The moral of the story is that true friends always stick together and care about each other. 

I think this book is great. It illustrates the rue meaning of friendship and what it means to share. 

“朋友”是一本迷人的書，講述了公雞，老鼠和豬的日子。 他們一起工作，用一艘舊船航行到一棵大櫻桃樹，在那裡他們共享櫻桃。 然後，他們騎自行車。 當夜晚來臨時，他們決定最好在自己的床上睡覺，然而，真正的朋友總是夢見彼此。 

Helme Heine 的“朋友”是一本令人愉快的小書，通過詳細的插圖，鮮豔的色彩和動作，以及一個偉大的故事情節，展示了友誼的真正含義。 這個故事的寓意是，真正的朋友總是聚在一起互相關心。
